pOp up dharma

Site-specific Buddhist mindfulness classes and events.

Trained Buddhist teachers deliver transformational contemplative trainings in unique and interesting locations.

Events are designed to enable social connection and feel like a fun night out.

The ethos

The world is our meditation hall.

The Buddha’s instructions for mindfulness were never designed to be practiced exclusively in a seated posture. We are instructed to be mindful when sitting, standing, lying down or walking. We’re called to be present and responsive in all our activities. Pop Up Dharma takes meditation out of the studio and drops it into the places that invite us to be more present.

Our events function like normal meditation classes. There will be periods of silent meditation, a wisdom talk by a trained Buddhist teacher, and opportunities for Q&A.

What we ask of you: We ask that you come authentically as yourself. No false spiritual posturing and no fluffy platitudes allowed. We work with the messy truth of what it means to be human.

Come as you are, sit where we are, leave a little more connected.

All levels welcome, from never-meditated to thirty-years-on-the-cushion.

  • Secular, friendly, zero dogma.
  • A new spot every time.
  • 90–120 mins, including social connection exercises.
  • All classes led by trained Buddhist teachers.

Help us launch

Know of a great space?

One way to support the cause is helping us locate the first few great spaces. A rooftop, gallery, backyard or a large quiet living room. If you have one, or know one, offer it up and help us get these events off the ground.

One-on-one

Coaching

Pablo Das is offering a limited number of spots for people who want structured one-on-one coaching. Pablo works with people to integrate Buddhist practice and principles into daily life. He is trained in somatic approaches to trauma resolution and is a seasoned advocate for Buddhist and trauma-informed addiction recovery models. He has had a holistic health and wellness coaching practice for two decades.
